Season 8 of ITV's beloved reality dating show Love Island was broadcast from June 6 to August 1, 2022, giving 36 eligible singles a shot to find true love. When the dust settled, Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Culculoglu emerged victoriously after remaining together from Day 23 until the finale on day 58. Of course, it's only natural to wonder if the two are still together even a few short weeks following the competition.
In addition to Davide and Ekin-Su, the top four longest-lasting couples in the villa include Gemma and Luca, Dami and Indiyah, Adam and Paige, and Andrew Tasha. As such, it's time to clarify the relationship status of each.
6 Davide & Ekin-Su - Still Together
An apparent match made in heaven, Davide and Ekin-Su needed a brief time apart to realize how right they were for each other. After pairing up on Day 5 of the popular reality dating show, the two explored time with other islanders before reuniting on Day 23 and staying together for the duration. By the second half of the season, the two really hit their stride and their romance bloomed, leading to a massive 63.7% public vote in support of their union.
As such, it's no surprise to report that Davide and Ekin-Su are still together, but it is somewhat stunning that the couple has already decided to move in together in Essex this coming September (per Metro). Even cooler, Davide and Ekin-Su have plans to launch their own TV show, in which they will travel to Italy and Turkey and cook meals for each other on camera (per Metro).
5 Gemma & Luca - Still Together
Despite both being Day 1 entries, it wasn't until Day 18 that Gemma Owen and Luca Bish finally linked up permanently en route to a second-place finish. Their biggest hurdle was the dramatic Love Island Casa Amor event, during which they avoided temptations and remained loyal to each other. Before the show ended, the two were comfortable saying "I love you" to one another.
A few weeks since the show ended, Gemma and Luca are also still going strong. According to Daily Mail, Luca recently met Gemma's famous football star father Michael Owen at a family dinner in Portugal, indicating the two are getting quite chummy indeed. Most recently, Luca headed off to London for the premiere of House of the Dragon after he and Gemma filmed the Love Island reunion episode (per Instagram).
4 Dami & Indiyah - Still Together
While Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack spent the first two weeks with Amber and Ikenna, respectively, the two paired up on Day 18 and only split once on their way to a third-place finish. After surviving Casa Amor's stick or twist challenge and winning first place in the Baby Challenge, Dami and Indiyah grew so close that they said "I love you" to each other and became an official boyfriend-girlfriend couple inside the villa. As such, fans had their back the entire time.
Nowadays, Dami and Indiyah are still together and have recently opened up about feeling the pressure of portraying "Black love" on the reality show, knowing the pushback they'd face online (per Metro). In August, Indiyah confirmed their status on Instagram, saying "Entering love I never expected to find a connection as pure as the one I have now, and for that, I'll be forever grateful."
3 Andrew & Tasha - Still Together
Fourth-place finishers Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri paired up on day 1 and remarkably stayed together all the way until the finale, minus a weird one-week coupling twist. Ghouri made show history by becoming the first deaf contestant to compete for love, which she clearly found when she asked Andrew to officially be her boyfriend inside the villa. The two even grew stronger after the shocking Casa Amor stick-or-twist test.
In what's becoming a recurring theme, Andrew and Tasha are also still together following their Love Island romance. According to Tasha's Instagram, she is "winning by having the biggest smile on my face after walking out of the villa with the most amazing man." On the other hand, Andrew beamed about his beau on Instagram as well, stating: "I'm so proud of everything you've achieved in a short space of time. You really are SO special and if I'm honest my inspiration."
2 Adam & Paige - Still Together
Adam Collard made show history by becoming the first-return guest after competing in Season 4. While he did not enter the villa until Day 38, Adam was instantly drawn to the day 1 entry Paige Thorne, who quickly reciprocated the sentiment. Unfortunately, the two were dumped from the island on Day 56, narrowly missing the finalist circle.
Yet, despite their short-lived romance in the villa, Adam and Paige have continued to heat up their romance since departing the island. According to US Magazine, Adam and Paige confirmed their official relationship status to On Demand Entertainment in August 2022. One week ago after attending the Love Island Season 8 reunion show, Paige took to Instagram to pose with Adam and write "Had the best time at the reunion last night. It was so lush to see everyone again, missed those guys. Thankfully, I've had this guy to keep me occupied, couldn't be happier."
1 Danica & Jamie - Still Together
Until she finally met her match in Jamie Allen on Day 47 of the guilty-pleasure dating show available on Hulu, Danica Taylor had a rough time finding love in the villa. She briefly dated Luca, Jacques, Jay, Josh, and Billy before Jamie finally entered the villa and swept her off her feet. As such, it's no real shock that, like the rest of the Love Island Season 8 couples, Danica and Jamie are still together and going strong.
According to Ok!, Danica and Jamie recently consummated their newfound romance for the first time, indicating they are taking their bond to the next level, with the two even discussing marriage and the thought of having children together. Taking their union public, Danica and Jamie were recently spotted on a night out in Manchester, with the two happily holding hands and looking dressed to kill. Hopefully, Season 8 of Love Island makes history with all six top couples remaining together indefinitely.
