Colorado State seniors Warren Jackson and Manny Jones both have professional aspirations, and on Thursday they were named to the Reese's Senior Bowl Top 250 list. Jackson has already announced he will forego his senior season with the Rams due to the postponement of the Mountain West's fall season.
The organization normally puts out a Top 500 list, but this season scaled back because so many conferences have already announced a delay to the start of the college football season.
Jones, an honorable mention All-Mountain West selection a season ago, enters his true senior season with 123 career tackles, 21.5 of them for a loss. Included in those totals are nine sacks, five of which came last season, when he also forced two fumbles.
Jackson, who was named first-team All-Mountain West at the end of 2019 and opened 2020 as the conference's preseason Offensive Player of the Year, leaves the program with 124 receptions for 1,789 yards and 14 touchdowns.
The Reese's Senior Bowl is slated to be played in Mobile, Ala. On Jan. 30, 2021. Part of what makes the game stand out is the fact the collegiate players are coached by NFL staffs; Detroit and Cincinnati handled the duties in 2020, as more than 900 credentialed NFL personnel flooded Mobile for game week.
Michael Gallup was the last Ram to receive an invitation to play in the game in 2018.
