In this photo essay, I wanted to highlight Love and the Relationships that we have with each other, how they fuel us and how they can give us the opportunity to experience joy and happiness in the midst of chaos, turbulence and change. Relationships and the sense of community that comes from them help us create spaces of healing, courage, hope and progress. I believe that relationships are the secret backbone to this movement. Although this is a subject that may be quite scary for most, mainly because it forces us to be vulnerable and risk the possibility of being hurt or feeling abandonment, there is no better time than now to cultivate these relationships. We need each other more than ever especially as we experience collective changes.
Relationships can take many forms, whether it be family, friendships, romantic relationships, etc. I believe we have the opportunity to grow from them and create a support system that allows us the courage to get through transformations that we are either experiencing internally or externally. Obviously as we move along, we can discern for ourselves where and whom we feel safest with, and what relationships are actually healthy and which ones are toxic. And though everything is not picture perfect, we can start supporting each other through open communication, safe spaces, understanding, encouragement and love, all so that we can create a world that is better.
