Kady McDermott 'enjoyed romantic dinner with boyfriend of a year Liam Greer just hours before she jetted off to take part in Love Island as a single'
Kady McDermott reportedly enjoyed a romantic farewell dinner with the man she had been dating for a year the night before she jetted off for her Love Island return.
The reality star, 27, who originally appeared on the second series of the show in 2016, was said to be linked to a man named Liam Greer before jetting off to Mallorca.
And, despite making a comeback the current season as a single person, Kady is said to have dined out with Liam just hours before she flew out to the Balearic island.
Fans have become suspicious of her unwillingness to find love on the show despite being in a couple with Zachariah Noble.
A source told The Sun: 'Kady and Liam went for a posh dinner in Mayfair together the night before she left for Love Island, like a romantic goodbye.'
MailOnline has contacted a representative for Kady, and ITV for comment.
According to sources, Kady and Liam, 30, had been together for more than a year and have been on several luxurious getaways together. Liam declined to comment when approached by The Sun.
A source told the publication: 'Kady has remained tight-lipped over her mystery man Liam after previous high-profile relationships and splits.
'She should have been aware of the police investigation as detectives went looking for him at her house.
'It could be why their relationship has been shrouded in secrecy - but that hasn't stopped them going from strength to strength.'
An ITV spokesperson told MailOnline: 'Kady was single at the time of entering the Villa.'
It is a key requirement for Love Island that all Islanders are single when they enter the show with the hope of finding romance.
In February 2022, Kady and Liam reportedly celebrated Valentine's day at the five-star Bvlgari Hotel when he was under police investigation after being charged with money laundering more than £350,000.
Later the same year they also holidayed in the Maldives and Ibiza.
Most recently, Kady and Liam have been seen coming and going from her Hertfordshire bungalow up until the week she flew out to the show.
The Sun have said Police grew suspicious when £300,000 had been sent to his account from several different sources, who are all still yet to be traced.
Because he was said to be living with Kady at the time, the news outlet have claimed that Kady's home was searched during the investigation.
During an appearance at Harrow Crown Court in April this year, Greer was charged with acquiring criminal property and admitted laundering £359,700.
Greer pleaded guilty to the charges and will be sentenced next Friday. The jail sentence is up to five years.
A Met Police spokesman said: 'A police investigation by specialist officers has resulted in a man pleading guilty to laundering over £300,000.
'Liam Greer, 30, from Watford, Herts pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing at Harrow Crown Court to laundering £359,700.
'He will be sentenced at the same court on Friday, 7 July.
'The conviction follows an investigation by officers from the Met's Central Specialist Crime.'
Earlier this week, fans admitted they were convinced Kady has 'secret boyfriend' at home after they accused the influencer of being 'uninterested' and entering for 'the cheque.'
Following the influencer's return to the show, which comes seven years after her first appearance, viewers have been questioning her relationship status.
During Tuesday's show, the girls were tasked with showing off their kissing skills, as they locked lips with the men, and then given scores.
However, Kady failed to deliver coming in last place with fans at home left equally as unimpressed as she failed to bring the drama.
After stealing Zachariah from Molly Marsh, she rejected his advances and then called him by her ex boyfriend, and former contestant, Scott Thomas' name.
Taking to Twitter one fan shared: 'Kady.. This is madness just go home. Take a page from Mackenzie’s book and bow out.
'The brand deals are still there as well as your boyfriend you are being loyal to (as one can be on dating show).'
Another added: 'Apart from Kady sending Molly home what is the point in her? Especially if the rumours are true and she has a boyfriend at home. Where is the nightmare Kady we got in series 2?'
'The boyfriend rumours seem more true every time I see Kady in another scene. She’s giving absolutely nothing!' a third posted.
Someone else wrote: 'Kady looks FED UP. Send her back to her boyfriend pls.'
'I feel like Kady is always looking worried about her boyfriend at home,' another fan joked.
Fans slammed Kady's return to the villa, branding the influencer 'uninterested' when she didn't kiss the boys during a challenge.
Unfortunately, Kady found herself last on the leaderboard after the boys awarded her just 31.5 points, with Jess Harding coming in first place with 62.5.
Sharing their thoughts on Twitter one fan wrote: 'Kady is there for the cheque and she’s not even trying to make an effort to make it believable.'
'Ngl don’t think they should of bought back Kady, she just looks so uninterested and out of place,' another added.
A third shared: 'What’s Kady doing there, because the bomb is not shelling.'
'Kady rates absolutely no man in that villa - shes here to collect her cheque #LoveIsland,' someone else agreed.
One viewer posted: 'I don't think Kady was the right bombshell to be brought back, they should have brought someone who was on the show at most two years ago not seven.'
