Brianne Beck stars in Penobscot Theatre’s continuing one-woman musical “Tell Me on a Sunday,” first staged by Andrew Lloyd Webber in 1979. The in-person show, which runs through Sunday, Jan. 23, tells the story of a girl from Muswell Hill, England, who travels to the United States looking for romance. From New York City to Los Angeles and back again, this young woman is determined to succeed at life and love. In all of her searching is it possible she’ll find … herself?
“This production was originally part of our 2019-2020 season as a limited engagement of only four performances,” says Acting Artistic Director and Scenic Designer Tricia A. Hobbs. “The beauty of transferring the production to our 2021-2022 season is that we are able to fully realize this sweet story on our main stage for longer.”
