To the editor:
So wearing a Hawaiian shirt, on a cold February night, to watch a basketball game at SMSU, has now become cultural appropriation?
A more important concern for SMSU and its administration would be bringing the very best players possible from Southern Minnesota, Northern Iowa and Eastern South Dakota to campus. Then all home games would be as fun and as well attended as “Hawaiian Night.”
Winning always does wonderful things for a rural university, no matter the sport.
Really, “Hawaiian Night?”
