Joe Biden, the Democratic nominee for president, will campaign in Florida on Thursday as he makes a final push for Sunshine State voters in the closing days of the race.
Biden will spend part of the day in Broward County and in Tampa, two Democratic strongholds where the former vice president needs to widen the gap with his Republican opponent, President Donald Trump.
Details of Biden’s visit have yet to be released.
Biden last stopped in Tampa in September, when he held a round table with military and veteran groups.
Both campaigns for president are emphasizing Florida, the country’s largest swing state, in the waning days of the race. Two days before Biden arrives, former President Barack Obama will hold a rally in Orlando just days after he spoke to supporters in South Florida. Trump, meanwhile, drew large crowds in The Villages and Pensacola on Friday and then voted in Palm Beach County where he now resides.
