Reality TV star Shayne Jansen said he’s “broken inside” over the death of his beloved mother, Karen Jansen.
The “Love Is Blind” star, 33, shared the devastating news on Instagram Thursday, saying the two were “inseparable.”
“I lost my best friend today,” Shayne wrote alongside a series of snaps of the pair. “For the last year, we have been inseparable. Coffee every morning to ‘Schitt’s Creek’ every night. I’m broken inside but I know I can live with zero regrets knowing we did everything together.”
“I’ll never be able to replace my FaceTime partner on the daily,” he added.
The Chicago-based TV star thanked his followers “for the support” during the difficult time.
It wasn’t long before Jansen’s costars paid their respects to Karen, whom they had met several times during their stint on the Netflix dating show.
“Sending you Love. I’m so sorry,” wrote co-host Vanessa Lachey, before her husband Nick Lachey, who co-hosts the show with her, added, “So sorry brother….”
“Love Is Blind” star Shaina Hurley, who was romantically linked to Jansen during the show, wrote, “We’re Praying for you and your family Shayne, we’re here for you.”
Abhishek Chatterjee, best known as “Shake” on the show, wrote, “She treated all of us like her own sons. She will be missed dearly.”
Costar Deepti Vempati commented, “Sending you love,” before Danielle Ruhl added, “Thinking of you and sending love.”
Nick Thompson wrote, “I’m here if you need anything. So sorry for your loss. Sending you lots of love.”
Jansen rose to fame on Season 2 of “Love Is Blind” and got engaged to fellow cast member Natalie Mina Lee on the show. However, the pair did not end up getting married in the finale after Lee, 29, rejected Jansen at the altar.
