When he was 17 and in his second year of university, Chisom Peter Job collapsed while sweeping the floor. He was then diagnosed with coronary heart disease and had to move back home.
Though terrifying, his diagnosis allowed him to see a new side of his parents and to express a hidden part of his own identity. He wrote about his experience in this week’s Modern Love essay.
