Netflix’s latest rom-com Love, Guaranteed has hit third place in the platform’s “Top 10 in the U.S.” trending list. The Rachael Leigh Cook-led film may be cheesy, but it’s perfect for a lighthearted movie night this weekend. And when it comes to its gorgeous seaside location, Love, Guaranteed follows in the steps of some famous rom-com predecessors.
The film follows Nick (Damon Wayans Jr.), a single guy who’s been on way too many dates via the dating app “Love, Guaranteed” — hence, the title of the film. He decides to sue the company for fraud in guaranteeing him romance. Susan (Cook), a lonely lawyer, promises to help him win the case. Or, just maybe, she’ll help him fall in love instead. The film also features Heather Graham as the dating app’s glamorous founder, Kandyse McClure as Nick’s mystical ex, and a picturesque landscape.

What was Love, Guaranteed‘s filming location?
Love, Guaranteed was shot on location in Vancouver. As you watch the film, you may be able to recognize spots like the Vancouver Art Gallery. A number of shots were reported to be filmed at local seafood joint Coquille Fine Seafood, as well as a coffee shop called Republica Coffee Roasters.
Where is Love, Guaranteed set?
Rachael Leigh Cook and Damon Wayans Jr. must be the new Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan — although Love, Guaranteed was filmed in Vancouver, it actually takes place in Seattle. Many of the establishing shots feature some gorgeous Seattle skyline shots. Co-writer Hilary Galanoy said that the Autumn weather in Seattle perfectly fit the film’s romantic atmosphere.
“So many rom coms are set in New York City or San Francisco and I feel like, other than Sleepless in Seattle, there haven’t really been that many there. There’s also something about fall in Seattle,” Galanoy said in an interview with King 5 News. “Fall in Seattle is such a lovely season, it’s before the rain really starts and it’s such a gorgeous time where it’s still warm and there are leaves and it’s beautiful.”
