Things might get a bit chilly for most of Minnesota this weekend — which is a good reason to stay at home and catch up on some new shows, movies and music on streaming. Here are some suggestions for you to tune in to, as well as a story you should definitely read if you plan on doing any fishing this weekend. Stay safe, be well, and don't forget to call your mom!

We're doing it again! "Bring the Sing Home" returns at 5:55 p.m. Friday. Join us and Minnesotans everywhere for a statewide rendition of "What a Wonderful World" as made famous by Louis Armstrong. You can hear the song broadcast simultaneously on Classical, The Current and MPR News.

Saturday's fishing opener: Conservation officers prepare for work in pandemic

The Minnesota walleye fishing opener is Saturday, and lakes are expected to be busy. The state Department of Natural Resources says fishing license sales are up significantly from the last two years. The DNR is encouraging anglers to fish close to home this year, as a way to slow the spread of COVID-19.
